Middle School

At Holy Cross Lutheran School, our Middle School program provides a comprehensive, Christ-centered education designed to prepare students for high school with confidence and character. We are committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment where students can excel academically, grow in their faith, and engage in meaningful hands-on experiences.
Our curriculum is built on academic excellence, focusing on core subjects such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Bible. Students also benefit from enriching specialty classes—including Art, Music, Physical Education, Spanish, and Computer Technology—which support creativity, physical development, and essential 21st-century skills.
Middle school at Holy Cross offers extensive enrichment opportunities that go far beyond the classroom. Students participate in culturally rich events such as Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, Haitian Flag Day, and Lutheran Schools Week, deepening cultural understanding and school pride. They also take part in field trips, volunteer opportunities, student government, and school-wide service projects, helping them build leadership, empathy, and real-world experience.
Students in middle school also enjoy unique experiences that make these years exciting and memorable. They have opportunities for overnight and out-of-state trips, giving them hands-on learning, independence, and exposure to new places. Our 8th-grade students participate in a special culinary class, where they learn practical skills through fun, interactive cooking activities. In addition, signature events like the Sneaker Ball allow middle schoolers to celebrate their growing maturity in a safe, supervised, and joyful environment.
Through a blend of Christian values, rigorous academics, hands-on learning, cultural celebrations, leadership opportunities, and unforgettable middle school traditions, Holy Cross Lutheran School ensures that every student is equipped to thrive in high school and beyond.
